A blue moon (second full moon this month), a red moon (caused by lunar eclipse) should greet early risers on Wednesday morning (or so they say).

Not to be outdone, here's my graphite sketch of "The Light of the Silvery Moon".

A Triple Treat - once in a lifetime event - a super blue blood moon/lunar eclipse! Your sketch is so perfectly true of our view of the moon - most likely through the bare winter branches of the forest that surrounds us.

Thanks for your comment Diane, and for your Super-Moon-alert, last night
So, conditions were not ideal for moon-gazing in the SE this morning. I'm pleased that you appreciate my sketch as a lowly substitute for the real thing.
